YouTube Rewind Backlash Sparks Unofficial Best Of 2018 Videos

YouTubers was responsible for this year's YouTube rewind correction.

The annual video, which aims to take stock of the highlights of 2018, has become the most unpleasant in the history of the site.

He has been criticized for not including enough content creators, with popular personalities such as PewDiePie, Shane Dawson and Logan Paul, all of whom are notable absentees.

Today, many YouTubers have used their skills to solve the problem by organizing their own campaigns for 2018 and showing YouTube what it should have included.

The website said it listened to the community's response.

There have been a lot of videos, some with millions of visits, parodying sources.

While the official 2018 YouTube review video has been criticized for moving away from controversial issues, these videos suggest that the content creators of the website adopt them.

For example, Logan Paul occupies an important place in many videos after his boxing bout with KSI in August, but he also appears in a video he published in January that shows the body of a person who is apparently dead of suicide.

The YouTube trends that made the headlines are found throughout the videos, such as the so-called Tide Pod Challenge.

'Sub a Pewds'

Other "critics" are more direct parodies, with some audio borrowed from the original video.

A section that praises people who "found a way to help the most important causes" was parodied into a video thanking YouTube users, such as Markiplier, who urged subscribers to subscribe to PewDiePie.

This was in response to PewDiePie's ongoing battle with the Indian T-Series channel to retain its place as a larger subscriber to YouTuber.

Similar videos have also seen parallels between a section dedicated to those "who have demonstrated that it is acceptable to talk about mental health this year" and Shane Dawson's video series with Jake Paul.

Neither PewDiePie nor Shane Dawson were included in the original video.

"YouTube will be jealous"
Other videos have been made to solve a different problem.

Several channels produced videos that disagreed with YouTube Rewind's focus on English content.

These videos have high production values, including complete presentations and personalized content created by YouTubers in their native language, with a video in Spanish viewed over 700,000 times.

And other videos have reached a different end by highlighting specific communities, with ZHC focusing on YouTube artists.
