78-Year-Old Man In California Claims He Killed At Least 90 People Over Four Decades

A man who is now considered one of the most prolific serial killers in the United States claims to have killed 90 people in four decades.

The investigators were able to close four unsolved murder cases thanks to Samuel Little's confession.

The 78-year-old man, also known as Samuel McDowell, was serving a life sentence for three murders in California when he confessed to a Texas investigator.

The officers said Little had provided details of two murders in Houma, Louisiana that only the murderer would have known.

Dorothy Richard, 59, was found dead in 1982 and the body of 40-year-old Daisy McGuire was discovered in 1996. Both were strangled.

The police are also investigating their confessions of other murders.

In Macon, Georgia, the Bibb County Sheriff's Office said in a statement on Friday that Little's confession allowed his investigators to file two murder cases, one in 1977 and the other in 1982.

In 1982, the body of Fredonia Smith was found in the yard of a house in Macon. She had been strangled.

The victim of 1977 was never identified. His skeletal remains were found at the edge of forests in a local court.

Two investigators from Bibb County traveled to Decatur, Texas, to interview Little.

The sheriff's office said he gave them specific details and information linking him to the two murders.

Smith's family has been informed of new developments.

Ector County Attorney Bobby Bland said that one of Little's confessions concerned the murder of Denise Christie Brothers in February 1994 in Odessa, Texas.

"Thanks to the hard work and tireless efforts of Ranger Holland and the Texas Rangers, Little will be confirmed as one of the serial killers, if not the most important in US history," Bland said in a statement. communicated.

"With this research, not only has the Denise Brothers family got answers, but hundreds of family members will also know the truth after decades of questions.

"The justice for the victims of Samuel Little may have been delayed, but thanks to these efforts, justice is no longer denied."
